Work Experience

My first job was working for a private, faith-based agency in New Hampshire where I provided behavioral health counseling and adoption services to individuals and families throughout the New England area.

After seven years, I moved to northeastern Arizona where I worked at a community behavioral health center for 18 years, first as a clinician and later as the clinical director for 12 years.

My family and I then moved to the Tucson area where I worked on Davis-Monthan Air force Base as a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC).

Currently, I have my own practice in Sahuarita Arizona. In the next couple years I hope to move to Utah to be closer to my adult kids. When I move, I’ll maintain my Arizona license to practice.

Other Noteworthy Information

In the spring of 2025, I was diagnosed with cancer. I’ve since had surgery and chemotherapy and I’m now cancer free! The experience greatly increased my respect for cancer patients as well as my desire to help individuals and families adjust to their cancer diagnoses and support them throughout treatment.

I’ve been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 35 years. I also enjoy studying and practicing principles of Stoicism (philosophy) and Buddhism as they have helped me with my own mental health and in becoming a better human being.

I coached high school soccer for 13 years. When I started, I didn't know much about the sport but my kids (and the high school) needed a coach. With the help of Youtube, books and steady inflow of great athletes, we were perennial playoff contenders, with multiple semi-final appearances and one State Runner-Up title. Fall is my favorite time of year, not just because of the weather but also due to soccer and football seasons.
